The Calm Before the Merge…
Previously on surv1vor. Drop your buffs. After the surprise tribe swap, the new Vuna tribe won the immunity challenge. And with influence from his former alliance, Who’s it going to be? Smash. Anela was sent to Immunity Island. Every decision here has a consequence. At Immunity Island, Anela lost and received a no vote.
This is staying between me and myself. At the new Zamba, Tyson, together with Kiran and Santoni, found the hidden immunity idol. Found Yes. Yes. No, mate. I’m such an idiot for not flipping looking. Warda had Santoni on her hit list. Everyone that voted for Carla, I need to get out. Tyson was g.unning for Dino.
There’s three of us and now three of them, so it’s three v three. We always want to have the majority. At Tribal Council, Warda and Anela’s feud continued. I’m not trying to, you know, confirm or deny what she is low key accusing me of, so. I’m not low key accusing, I’m accusing you.
And after Santoni played her hidden immunity idol, My sister said, “Warda, play your idol badly than going home with one.” Dino’s torch was snuffed. Dino, okay. Tribe has spoken. 13 are left. Who will be voted out tonight? Today’s Tribal was my third Tribal and the best one yet. It was like revenge, the epitome of revenge.
The tables turned and I feel like this was my moment. Everything what’s transpired today was wow. Wow. That was cool, dude. That was cool that you got it in the wall like that. It was there the whole time. And then I got to keep it quiet. I don’t I haven’t told a soul. And then Do you know I was weird this afternoon? He Like he he was a bit like calm.
And I thought something was I didn’t feel like it. I always think having something like that is more of a curse and having it puts a target on you. But playing it I don’t think touch wood it won’t come back to bite me in the a.ss. I think you’re right. It can be a gift and a curse. I just felt like I’d rather just share it like that I have something and I don’t even mind telling everyone right? Yeah.
What I can tell you is that our suspicions of merge being cursed is 100% right. boy, man. Oh boy. Because the the the thing that I won is very much related to merge. So it basically says I can have an extra vote from now up until one vote after we’ve merged. Laughter. That’s amazing. He understands obviously that he’s at the bottom here and that even if he were to play this alleged advantage, if it is true that he’s allowed one extra vote, it still won’t save him.
So he’s always had a target on his back. He will continue to have a target on his back until I get rid of him. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. At the moment, I’m feeling extremely
vulnerable because I just feel like I don’t have a place. I don’t have my number ones, number twos. I don’t have a close circle who I can lean to. She seems like she’s very much for herself. She is. Very selfish. She is. But who’s more for threats into Mitch? I certainly love it if she’s He’s part of the Chappies camp.
So, as as the more people you can vote out and dest4bilize Chappies. I think we must just focus on getting the big guys out first. Yeah. After playing the idol and not actually needing to play it, it did confirm that my alliance with the three was strong. But deep down, I still doubt in it because they’re all just g.unning for people that they want out.
So, there’s a difference between having my back versus just not voting for me. I still feel like the fourth wheel. But I mean, that’s what I have now and I have to work with. If you are still up for it, I think it’ll be cool for us to to say, “Let’s protect one another.” It’ll be healthy for us to say, “Let’s get the target off each other’s back by by going to get a forward.
I’ve picked up two very interesting things about Jacques P. He wants to be surrounded by another physical player, and he also wants to be surrounded by someone, just one, which you can trust with his life. Those are the two things on the top of Jacques P’s grocery list. And a welcome to the new supermarket.
You’re going to get your physical safety, you’re going to get your trust at this guy. Guys, I can’t hide behind social Renier forever. And we’re getting to a point in this game where strategy will be important. And it’s it’s important for me to find some kind of alliance, at least. I think that the key in the balance is to keep strategy in mind, but to know that the social element plays 80% role.
You go in my mind, being I would like to say so. I think it plays a very big role. I can agree with you. So, I was thinking that the physical element plays like 80%. Mhm. Then you just need to be able to have strategy and social not bad at Don’t you agree with that? No. Why not? Because Physical is everything.
So, if you say physical plays a major role, it plays a big role. But this is a social experiment, it’s not a physical experiment. And and what I think counts in your favor is that your social game is unfolding and unraveling a bit more as you get more comfortable. And I would like to encourage you to embrace that more.
I can see the qualities within this guy. This guy is trustworthy. He’s methodical. He thinks things through. He is quite clever, you know, and he’s got so much potential to make it very far in the game. Having him in the pocket is a bonus. I really appreciate that. It’s an absolute privilege, and I can say the same for you.
Cool. Cool. If he can feel he’s my lecturer, and I’m his little minion following, then I’m safe because he’s going to protect me. He feels I’m so dependent on him, and that is fantastic. The latest stage in this game, I’ll draw my little minion sword, I’ll chop his head off, and I’ll go on again. That’s how it works.
But, I’ll be his minion six love six love for now. I have a like a squished up croissant Oh, nice. I’m thinking of having Have it. Otherwise, it’s going to really dry up. No, have it. So, Kion brought a lot of takeaways from their challenge win. Cookies, croissants, energy bars, and she keeps it in her bag.
And then she’s like eating it, not offering to share, nothing. I’m not hiding it from you purposely. It’s just like I know when the wind is crumbs on it, and I don’t want it to just fly away. Sorry, I don’t want to eat in front of you, but I don’t want to mess the crumbs in my bag. He’s sweet.
Genuine genuine genuine person, and so then I just feel I’m going to cheer him up. So, at the moment, no one really knows that I have a no vote at the next tribal council. They think that I have an extra vote and that I won the game, which I’m going to probably keep it that way. Um considering that the original Zomblers all at Vuna right now, they know that myself and Kion are probably on the outs.
They’ll recognize that seeing Kion having been eliminated, and they’ll save either her or myself. They most likely might save her because they’ve just finished saving me, which will just put me right right where I don’t want to be. Instead of taking the hammer and taking it to grab the handle of the um potjie, I just used my hand.
And obviously it was just too hot and I dropped it. Yeah, I think the rice we can be messed up just put it there. Yeah, cuz it’s on the soil. Now I’m going to see how much I can salvage. That certainly bodes well for me, you know, when someone’s wasting food which is a precious commodity. Hopefully they recognize that as someone who’s maybe a liability around the campsite and hopefully want to keep me around.
I’m going to try and save the rice as well when we rinse it. That’s okay? Yeah. Yeah, completely up to you. You could almost see the fear on her face thinking that she’d stuffed up and this is the reason that she’d get voted out. So much so that she actually picked up every single grain of rice on the floor and wants to wash it so that we can eat it later.
I’m going to clean it as clean as I possibly can. I definitely would never expect to see anyone in my life pull rice out of sand so that we could eat later. So kudos to her. Morning guys. Buhle, you’re getting your first look at the new Zumba tribe. Dino voted out at the last tribal council. Are you guys ready to get your next immunity challenge? Yes, we go.
Marisha, you know what that means? I have to take it back. Bring it over. Once again, tribal immunity is up for grabs. If you want it, you have to win it. Here’s how it’s going to work. Both tribes will start out on platforms out in the water. On my go, everyone will jump in and swim to the other side, collecting three keys attached to buoys along the way.
Once you get to the other side, you use that first key to unlock a staircase puzzle. You need to build it and climb it to the first level of the structure. When you get there, you use the second key to unlock a steel ladder. Raise it up, slot it into place, and climb that to the top level of the structure, where the third key will unlock a box of puzzle pieces.
One person will then set about completing a very complicated puzzle. First tribe to complete that puzzle successfully wins this challenge and immunity, guaranteed safety from tribal council. Losing tribe, a date with me at tribal council, where one of you will become the next person voted out of this game.
Winning tribe will also get to send someone from the losing tribe to immunity island. Everybody with me? Yes. What’s under there? Uh food. In addition to tribal immunity, you’ll also be playing for reward. Guys want to know what you’re playing for? Yes. The winning tribe will get to enjoy a delicious Mexican feast. Burritos, quesadillas, nachos smothered in cheese, creme fraiche, tomato and onion salsa, and of course, to wash it all down, what is a Mexican feast without margaritas? All right.
Luna, you have one extra member. That means someone will have to sit out. Can’t be the same person in back to back challenges. I’ll give you all a moment to strategize, and then we’ll get to it. The previous water challenge was the most scariest moment of my life. And today when I just saw that challenge, something in me just kind of snapped because I just couldn’t see myself doing it and I was just petrified.

I’ve got the keys. There we go, guys. Go, go, go, go. That is correct. Go, Zamba. Go. Go, Zandi. No time to waste in this challenge. Kieran and I are making his way up for Zamba. You need to unlock that steel ladder, raise it up, drop it into place, then everyone make your way to the top. Nice and slowly. There we go. And go, Zamba. Go.
Zamba and I are making their way up. So, that’s that little piece at the top there. Turn it upside down. That’s it. Zamba, you are clear. Zamba is taking Kieran stepping forward as the puzzle builder unlocking that box. Getting those pieces up. Yeah, just just make note where you leave Watch out for the poles up. Watch out.

Santoni, Nico. you made the swim. Yes, um but it it wouldn’t have been possible without um my tribe and the other tribe that wished me luck before the challenge and especially Warda. She swam next to me and she was encouraging me the whole time and Oh, don’t cry. Of all people, the person that I called my nemesis, Warda was swimming right beside me and she was just like motivating me and she was literally I mean, for her to be talking while she’s swimming and looking at me, it was a moment I will never forget. Well, that

That is probably one of the best things you can experience with your fellow outcasts is to see them see their families.
And everyone reacted in a way that that you could see they have true love and true care. Tears here and there, somewhere not tears, but that’s okay. It was really cool for me just to see how people could connect to their families. We’ve eaten, we’ve got seen our families. Like I feel like now we have like strength to carry on.

For today’s immunity island challenge, all you have to do is to stay and press play. If you decide to stay, you will receive a Mexican feast while you then press play.
When you decide to stay and play at immunity island, there’s always a catch with it. There’s a consequence if you lose. But at the moment, I’m not reading any sort of consequences and I’m also a gambling man. I’m going to roll the dices and I’m going to play. Come on. When I lifted up that clutch and saw the minced burritos, the delicious nachos with that melted cheese, the margarita to wash it all down, the quesadillas, I was just so excited.
I almost teared up right there and there. God is good. Now honestly, I I don’t think I could have expected a a better surprise. Chavala. What? The only place I’ve been seeing skulls on Immunity Island is where I do the challenges. The sign holds the key.
The sign, immunity sign? Immunity Island sign? Hey. And now that must be the immunity idol sign. So, I go back to the campsites where the sign is. And to my surprise, I see a pouch there. Oh my god. Woo wee. And what do we have here? Congratulations. You have received tribal insurance. This power allows you to claim anyone’s vote as your own.
To use tribal insurance, you must present this note to Nico when he announces that it is time to vote. You will then inform him whose vote you are claiming. The person whose vote you are claiming will not vote. You will vote twice. You may vote for different people on the two separate votes if you so choose.
This power is only valid for one of the next two tribal councils you attend. What? This immunity Island necklace around my neck symbolizes that I’m free from being eliminated, but I can’t vote. But now that I have this, I can actually claim someone else’s vote. Or better yet, maybe even cancel out my no vote.
With great power comes great responsibility. Huh? I thought I was upset. I thought I was angry. I’m not. I’m actually just jealous. It’s the losing sucks. I mean, how is him sending email Yeah. So. Show us he has It just shows you those those boys club. We’ve always known that if we don’t send Anela home, then it has to be Kion.
So, the fact that Anela was sent to immunity island and the king puts him in a strong position in this game because an island does come with advantages. But, it doesn’t really change our plans of voting anyone home because if it wasn’t him, it was always going to be Kion anyway. Um I don’t think we were ever in a winning position to begin with.
Yeah. Do you blame me for for that? No, we thought that we were fair. No, no, no, I’m just joking. No, I’m just joking. But guys, maybe as a consolation, let’s be positive that the merge will be soon and we will all make it there. Yeah. Huh? We’ve lost again. And yes, it’s hectic because I might be going home.
But a part of me is still thinking at least Kion is happily going My only concern is that I’m not going to be here when the merge merge comes. I’m probably going to be gone by tomorrow night. But how do you know he won’t put his hand in again? So, I think build up on your relationship with Wada as well.
Because she’s had some friction with Anthony. So, if you can get her to try and vote her out, then I’ll support it cuz I’ll support wh@tever decision Wada makes. I will tell people that I trust them and I to a degree I I don’t have a choice anymore because I I don’t have an idol, but I don’t think I’ll fully fully trust anyone in this game. So, there’s a lot of stuff that confirms my distrust and I’m sure these people will st4b in the back eventually.
I might just st4b them in the back first. Because that’s why I also asked whether you angry at me because I know I didn’t shout at you. No, but you would know if we angry at you or not. We support you all the way and we try our best to rea.ssure you every single time. We’re on your side. We’re on your side. No one’s voting voting for you because of a challenge.

I mean, Tyson and Kieran don’t even know because the fact that Smash every time he gets sent to Immunity Island, it makes me think that Chappies might be running the show there. But then, if Somizi is still here Mhm. after tomorrow night, they have six. Yeah. So which means makes them stronger. Yeah. Than us.
The first most important is that we need to make sure that we get into merge with the numbers so we can start picking them off one by one. She not talking to you once. You don’t talk to everyone something. You know, I know. You know, I know. I just saw them. You getting so paranoid. major You guys just like easy. I know we not we not grilling what I’m saying.

I don’t know her. They know her longer than I do. And the little bit I have had interactions with her, she seems very selfish. Like I mean, who eats their snacks in front of everybody? You in a tribe, we all hungry, and you don’t think to share with anyone or have the tact to go somewhere secluded and eat in private.
Are you just socially like inept? Do you not read the room? Read the room. Like we all hungry, and you not even thinking that that’s insensitive. I can’t work with her because her actions make me worry.
The original Vuna members want to stay strong. There’s five of us. Only one of us is not a part of it. It’s Kion. So, the decision’s pretty easy. Tyson Did you go shopping? Tyson cooked crabs. Not a good thing to say Tyson cooked crabs. We want to get rid of the old Zamba members first because they came with that mentality in everything that they’ve been a part of.
They wanted to get rid of us. So, we know for a fact that we can’t trust any of them. Shame. Should we potentially merge? Any and every Zamba members within our new Zamba tribe won’t stick with us. They’ll go back to their people. So, getting rid of them early is the priority. People are quiet.
Obviously, a new main tribal council coming up tonight. And obviously, for me, I feel like I’m definitely going home. Um despite I did try um yesterday to try and convince them why it makes logical sense to take me through because Santoni’s true loyalty does not lie with them.
But right now, it’s convenient for her to say that she is loyal to them because they’ve been with Vuna OGs from from the start. But we all know for sure that, you know, Santoni’s heart and soul and sunshine is with Chappies. Um now, someone else is on my radar, and it’s it’s really sad that this once in a lifetime opportunity is not going my way.
And I can only do my best and f1ght till the end. Yeah. I do feel that I’ve now locked myself into this four strong alliance. And uh hopefully, we’ll get to the point where everyone has got equal say in this, and I don’t feel like the fourth wheel. Because if I’m going to keep on feeling like the fourth wheel once it’s merged, I will find a way to cut them.

I mean, this is the second time they sent him to Immunity Island, and he’s he’s very well protected by the people in Vuna right now. Anela, it does seem that way, doesn’t it? Uh, it certainly does, Nico, and um I think from their perspective, they’re definitely probably recognizing the same thing that Kion is speaking of, which is that currently in Zamba, there’s four Vuna members of the original Vuna tribe, and that would effectively put myself and
her on the outs. Um, as to the reason why they choose to to look after me, I don’t really know, but I’m very appreciative and grateful. I think it’s quite clear why you are being protected by Vuna 3.0, because of the connections that you have there, as well as Renee. Kion, you think Renee has something to do with it? Well, Renee and Smash are basically brothers from day one, and obviously, he’s also in alliance with Chappies, Amy, and Shawn.
That is the current majority right now in Vuna 3.0. Although, the fact still remains that I’ve spent a lot less time with most of the majority of Vuna than what she has, considering I’ve been here the whole time where she was previously there. So, that maybe then falls onto her relationship building. Well, Anela, if that’s true, then I guess that’s great play on your part, isn’t it? Certainly.
I mean, it’s no secret that in this game, although it’s all surv1vor, you definitely can’t get to the end on your own. So, I personally don’t try to close doors to anyone. I mean, we we don’t know when merge is coming. So, I think it would be naive of me even to look too much into the love that I’m getting from the other side.
I still got to focus predominately with what’s happening here. And you’re still willing to just cut relations with one of those people. Smart. Really very smart. Not. Look, I don’t think that cutting out one person when 13 remain is going to have that much of an impact on my game. Um it’s just me being honest. Kiran, Yes, sir.
your thoughts on that? Never underestimate anyone or take anyone for granted. Yep. And I I’ve seen that too often in this current season and just in surv1vor in general where people are are discarded just because you either don’t like them or wh@tever the case may be. And that always comes back to bite people.
Well, one of the other things that I’ve learned from being in the game as well, and I mean in life as well, nothing comes for free. So, if people are providing you with safe haven and protecting you, there’s a price that comes with everything. Nothing in life is for free. And eventually, you know, these collectors are going to come and collect.
From my perspective, based on what you’ve all said, Anela, you are most definitely the person with the most debt sitting at this Tribal Council. Is that something that crosses your mind? I mean, it would appear that way based on what has been said, but the people that are keeping me, you know, taking me to Immunity Island, I haven’t seen in plenty, plenty of days, so I I’d like to think that it’s because I’ve built genuine relationships.
Well, Wardah, at the last tribal, it was clear there’s there’s some animosity between you and Anela. Have you cleared that up? Well, I just feel like it’s somebody who who has a very fragile ego that was hu.rt because I wrote his name down once. Um under the instruction of his boys, Phil and Chappies, telling me to write his name down, and I told him this.
But unfortunately, that battered ego um that injured ego is beyond repair because perhaps it’s because I’m a woman, I don’t know. I don’t think that it’s my ego that removed me from wanting to work with her. I think it was a strategic decision whereby I realized that I didn’t necessarily need the herd to advance my own game.
Sorry, I just think it’s it’s quite it is quite egotistic to say that you don’t need Wardah to advance in your game because you don’t know what’s going to happen in the future. That overconfidence is having ego. Unfortunately, you can’t go into this game and have it all 20 people as part of your game plan.
That’s just how the game goes. I’ve never seen someone play with all 20 people on their alliance. Then what then they just get given the money? Well, we do have to vote tonight.
